The Ukulele Luau will start at 5pm on Friday, May 30, 2008 at The Red Barn in Nashville, Indiana. We're offering camping on location for very reasonable rates. For those of you who prefer staying in a hotel, we've worked out a special deal with the Salt Creek Inn to be the official Luau hotel. They're offering all Ukulele Luau attendees a specially discounted rate of $59.00/night plus tax. To reserve your room at that rate, just call 812-988-1149, and mention that you will be attending the Ukulele Luau. In addition to camping and The Salt Creek Inn, Nashville has many other beautiful, romantic places to stay. There'll be performances by uke players from around the country, and plenty of open jams to play in. That's right, the Luau is all about getting to PLAY and HAVING FUN! We LOVE the performers and the attendees coming to this thing! There'll be 7 Ukulele Workshops and 2 Polynesian Dance Lessons that you can attend - and all of the classes are free to all Luau ticket holders. An authentic luau is a celebration that has 3 main components: Great Food, great dancing, and great music. The Ukulele Luau will be an authentic luau hosted by a very experienced luau host - Kory Jones. We'll be smoking some Pork, and having an incredible outdoor cooking experience. Workshops and performances will happen Friday evening and all day on Saturday with the grand finale being held Saturday evening. The Luau is also a ukulele swap meet at which you can buy and sell uke related items. We'll have some of our famous Bushman Ukuleles on display for sale, along with our cases, strings and other uke accessories. Come and enjoy.
